In the 18th century, this palace was regularly visited by high-ranking people. They held elegant balls and literary evenings here. The unique St. Thomas Church that was built in the 13th century is preserved in the city. For a long history of existence, it survived many reconstructions. The church is a spectacular architectural monument in the Late Gothic style. For the whole world, this church is largely known for to the fact that on its territory is the grave of the world-famous composer Johann Sebastin Bach.
