The busiest tourist town on the island is Bridgetown - the capital of Barbados. In the centre of town is a picturesque National Heroes Square, which is decorated with several interesting monuments and fountains, here is also a monument to Admiral Nelson. In addition to the main religious sights of the island, in the capital there is very interesting St. James’ Parish Church - the oldest of preserved churches on the island. It is notable not only for its unique architecture, but also the internal decor, which for hundreds of years the church has hardly changed. 

No less interesting city for relaxation is Speightstown; this colonial town was founded in 1630. Today, this tiny town is the centre of the most popular shops, where you can find products from around the world. Local shops sell interesting national specialties, handmade souvenirs, as well as clothing and accessories of various popular European and American brands. Quaint shops are mixed with art galleries, although the pier remains a favorite place for walking among the guests of the city. 

On the island of Barbados many interesting museums and cultural centres are present, some of whom are quite unusual. An excellent example is the Concord Museum, where visitors are offered to try themselves as a Boeing pilots. 

Those who came with children should to go for a walk in Folkstounskomu Marine Park, which also has an interesting museum. Its exposition is devoted entirely to the inhabitants of the deep sea; the museum is largely focused on visitors with children. In the vicinity of the museum are several play areas for children, as well as playgrounds.
