One of the most picturesque is Marselisborg Deer Park. It is located a short drive from Aarhus and covers an area of about 22 hectares. The main inhabitants of the park are deer, which have long been accustomed to people and are not afraid of them at all. This park is one of the few in the country where visitors can watch deer in their natural habitat. Everyone can and stroke and hand-feed the deer. Most of the visitors to the park are local and vacationing families with children. The historic botanical garden Botanisk Have was founded in the city more than 140 years ago. It is also quite large and covers an area of about 21 hectares. More than a thousand plant species are collected on the territory of this garden.
