Agistri is a small island. Despite the fact, that it is situated near the largest Greek seaport Piraeus, not many tourists come here. Agistri is a perfect place for long walks because it is too small that you can't get lost here. Moreover, you can get to most places here on foot because the island is too small and all the footpaths are well-groomed here. There is only one route of public transport on the island and locals prefer to walk in spite of driving cars. Small well-groomed paths link Megalochori (or Milos), Skala, Metoxi and Limenaria with all the main historical and natural objects. You can reach all the beaches on foot, except those, where you can get only by the sea. There are wonderful picturesque beaches on the island. A secluded Dragonera beach with pebble bottom and crystal water, Aponisos with unusual blue green water, small and romantic Chalikiada and empty Scliri will attract tourists with different tastes. Skala is considered to be the best beach on the island, according to some reasons. There is a long cape, where you can go in the water and enjoy amazing views. Moreover, there is a port where you can go on a sea excursion. Megalochori is a long and sandy beach. There are a lot of taverns on its coast. Be sure to spend a few hours to sail around the island on a rented boat.
