The Bernese Alps have a large area for alpine skiing. This area is formed by two villages, namely, Adelboden and Lenk. These villages are incredibly picturesque places that are very interesting to visit. Adelboden is situated not far from the foot of the Wildstrübel massif. This countryside region is a truly enchanting place with striking views that conquer the hearts of tourists who visit these popular mountain resorts. The Adelboden – Lenk area is rich in different types of sports entertainment. Some of the oldest mentions of Adelboden date back to the 13th century. At that time, local people were mostly called “people of the forest”. It was impossible to get to the village in winter because the only road was along the Engstligen River.
