More to see in Ko Tao Island
Ko Tao does not attract only those, who like diving. Although, most of the tourists come because of its beautiful underwater world. There are several reasons for such popularity of the island. The first and probably the most important one is good visibility and a comfortable water temperature. Another important factor is that the diving sites are close to the island. A rare trip to the diving place will take you more than an hour. And the final reason is that it is cheap. There are 70 diving schools on the island and the highly competitive environment has a good impact on the quality of training. What is interesting is that Ko Tao is in second place in the world for the quantity of PADI certificates. Some centers provide accommodation for the time of the training. The underwater world of Ko Tao is very rich. Here you can find sea turtles, and stingrays, and barracudas, and reef and whale sharks, and sometimes even a rare sixgill shark. Kilometers long coral reefs attract many different sea animals. Besides reefs and caves, you can find three sunken ships. Neither a beginner nor an experienced diver will be disappointed by the diving near Ko Tao. By the way, despite warm water, experienced divers suggest always wearing a wetsuit, otherwise, you might cut yourself with sharp reefs. … Read further
