More to see in Tobago Island
One of the main reasons, why Tobago is interesting to travelers is because it has perfect conditions for divers. You can dive here all year round, but remember that visibility is worse during the rainy season. There are places for experienced divers as well as for the beginners, and nobody will be disappointed with the underwater flora and fauna. Near Tobago, you can see brain corals, one of the biggest types in the world. Here can also meet some extremely rare pelagic animals that are hard to find anywhere else in the world even for experienced divers and underwater photographers. Off the coast of the island you can find MV Maverick, a sunken car ferry, which has now become a house for many barracudas, stingrays, cobias, and turtles. From the southern side, there is Diver’s Thirst sight, which is popular among the divers. There are a few kinds of sharks there: black reef shark, a bull shark, and a nurse shark. You can also find here eagle rays and manta rays. Keleston Drain is popular thanks to its huge population of brain corals and an opportunity to closely observe the life of the reef’s inhabitants. The Sisters attracts those, who would like to meet a hammerhead shark and a nurse shark. Stingrays and lobsters can also be found here. Flying Reef is remarkable, because even on a very small depth of 15 meters there is a coral reef, where even the beginners can see its inhabitants. Anyone, who wants to get a divers license, can get a training in Tobago. … Read further
