The Museum of Fiji operates in Suva. It was founded in 1904. Today, its collection includes gatherings of significant archeological and ethnographic artifacts from various islands of the archipelago. Unique finds, whose age is several thousand years, national costumes and household items of islanders, various cult artifacts and ancient weapons are just a small part of the museum exhibits. The Museum is located in the territory of a picturesque garden, which is a perfect place to take a stroll after the tour. Albert Park is one of the most beautiful places in the capital. This picturesque historic park was named for the English Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. Nowadays, it is perfectly equipped for a peaceful rest and an active entertainment. Government House is the most beautiful architectural monument. This is a majestic building in Georgian style, surrounded by dense plantations of palm trees and other exotic plants. Nausori National Park is one of most famous reserves in Fiji. The large park is a great place to see flora of the islands in its splendour – hundreds of different trees and flowers, fast mountain rivers and beautiful rocks simply cannot leave travellers indifferent. There is a botanic garden nearby. It’s called the Garden of Sleeping Giant and is dedicated to orchids. It’s a rare place where visitors can see as many as two thousand types of this wonderful flower.
