Kastro tis Grias stands in its place for nearly five centuries, although it is not used for its intended purpose more than a century and a half. The fortress is quite well preserved for its years. In addition, Kastro tis Grias was built on the site of an ancient Acropolis, which walls and foundation you can see here. You can climb the walls of the fortress and enjoy magnificent views, but be very careful – many stones can fall at any time.

The Monastery of Taxiarches is a beautiful construction built in 1572. It was a place for pilgrims near the settlement called Galani. The monastery is still active, because visitors, especially women, are not allowed to visit the monastery every day and only at certain times.
