Rust has a number of interesting historical symbols, however, the city's most visited attraction remains the Wine Academy. It is a permanent venue for holding the most significant local events: beautiful festivals and wine tastings, ceremonies, and musical concerts. The Wine Academy provides travelers with a special information center where they can buy a pass to many city wineries. Tere are more than 20 wineries in Rust, and they all can be found in ordinary courtyards. Holders of a special pass have the exclusive opportunity to taste all varieties of wine in all wineries of the city for absolutely free. It is little wonder that walks through the ancient wineries are a favorite entertainment for guests of the miniature town. Most of them are housed in incredibly beautiful historic buildings, so tasting fine drinks can be successfully combined with admiring unique architectural monuments. As for the historical symbols, the most significant and famous one is the Fishermen's Church (Fischerkirche). The first Romanesque church was built on its site back in the 11th century, and in the Middle Ages it significantly expanded and was rebuilt in the Gothic style. The last major reconstruction of the church took place more than 60 years ago. In the course of the works, unique treasures such as original frescoes, mosaics and glass paintings were discovered here.
