Bungee jumping (jumping from a tall structure with an elastic cord attached to the legs), toboggan (a simple sled used to carry people down a hill), free fall amusements, and shotover (whitewater rafting at very high speed) are among the most popular amusements in New Zealand. Fans of extreme experiences in search of something truly thrilling can try Black Water Rafting in Waitomo Cave. This is a rafting tour in an underground river that will be not easy to forget. Canoeing, heliboarding in the mountains, air surfing, parachuting, rafting – in short, there are virtually endless entertainments to choose from, so tourists can always find something interesting and unique depending on their physical training.
Are those attractions not “extreme” enough? Then consider trying something really scary like Fly By Wire, during which a person operates a self-drive flying machine with a giant propeller at the foot. Using this fast-moving machine, the person needs to avoid obstacles. Zorbing is another exciting activity. People get into big inflated spheres and roll down a hill using them. Zorb balls can move down really fast at a speed of up to 50 km/h. If you prefer more traditional sports, kayaking is a perfect choice. By the way, it is possible to swim with dolphins in New Zealand - Doubtful Sound Fjord offers this amazing opportunity. Copyright www.orangesmile.com

However, these are not all extreme entertainments available! As it was mentioned above, New Zealand is a Mecca for all fans of thrilling experiences. For example, jet boating is a more advanced version of rafting, a high-speed ride in motorboats in mountain rivers. Don’t forget about kite surfing – surfing with a large controllable kite. If even these are too “boring” and there is a desire to try something truly odd and scary, consider volcano boarding and exploration of active volcanos. These activities will surely be not forgotten for many years.
Travelers, who do not feel attracted by these extreme sports, do not need to worry. There are safe and tranquil entertainments as well. Perhaps, fishing sounds attractive to you. In this case, visit Lake Tarawera that is located in a truly picturesque place – close to a volcano with the same name. However, in order to fish trout and not to become a criminal, tourists need to purchase a license first. By the way, there are also thermal springs in Tarawera. Owners of hotels in the nearby city, Rotorua, provide helicopters for their clients so they can enjoy the mesmerizing landscapes of the area from a bird’s eye view. Isn’t that a wonderful entertainment?
