Traveling through the territory of the southern state, it’s difficult to imagine that amazing cultural and historical sites are hiding among desert landscapes. The state has a huge number of natural attractions and cultural sites. The main symbol of the state is the Grand Canyon. However, travelers shouldn’t limit themselves with exploring this attraction only. National Park of the same name is home to several important cultural sites; here is Tusayan Museum housing a rich collection of archaeological artifacts. Strolling through the park and enjoying its natural attractions, visitors can find a huge number of towers and viewing platforms that offer an unforgettable view of surroundings. In 2007, quite an unusual architectural object was opened in the park; it was the cantilever bridge named Grand Canyon SkyWalk resembling a huge viewing platform in the shape of a horseshoe. Close to the National Park there is Barringer Meteor Crater. It is an impact crater, which has been formed about 50,000 years ago. Next to this natural attraction there is an interesting museum; its exhibition is devoted to meteorites. Hikers would like Lake Havasu City on the Colorado River; its main landmark is a London Bridge. This is a real London Bridge, which was dismantled and moved to America in 1971.
