More to see in Agra
In order not to limit your vacation plans to excursions to historic landmarks, consider visiting the most beautiful parks and gardens in Agra. Mehtab Bagh is recognized as the most beautiful park in the city. It was established at the beginning of the 16th century by the emperor’s order. The park was flourishing for more than a century until it completely disappeared at the end of the 19th century. Local authorities decided to restore the park only at the end of the 20th century. Today this is a true example of modern landscaped design. Note that the entry to the park is paid. For a small fee, visitors can spend the entire day in the park. There are gorgeous observation areas that offer amazing views of the city’s attractions. Ram Bagh is also a historic park. Not only nature enthusiasts but also fans of archaeology will find it interesting to visit it. The park was founded in 1526, but only a small part has survived to this day. You can take a walk under majestic trees, see fragments of the remaining historic buildings, and take a walk along the river bank. You will like this park if you enjoy staying in less crowded places – there are usually only a few visitors in Ram Bagh. The outskirts of Agra are home to several unique natural landmarks. For example, National Chambal Sanctuary NCS offers interesting excursions for its visitors. The natural reserve occupies an area of more than 5,400 square kilometers. It has many different zones that make a visit to … Read further
