The mud houses that were opened at the resort in the beginning of the 20th century, in appearance look like luxurious palaces, rather than the classic sanatoriums and boarding houses. The focus of beautiful architectural monuments with centuries of history is the Main Park.
On its territory there are Nikolayev baths, buildings of a luxurious drinking gallery, an old shopping gallery and mud baths, the construction of which took place in 1912 - 1915. The mud house was built in the likeness of the ancient Roman baths. The magnificent building with columns is decorated with interesting sculptural compositions, and in front of the building there is a huge fountain. One of the oldest buildings in the resort town is the drinking gallery of the source number 17 which was laid back in 1848. Most recently, the gallery was repaired and faced with marble. Travelers who do not imagine rest without hiking through cultural centers should definitely visit the Museum of Local Lore. A significant part of its exposition is dedicated to the tragic period of the Great Patriotic War, as well as finds of archaeologists and exhibits devoted to the culture of the indigenous population. There is also the charming Victory Park in Yessentuki, the main decoration of which has been the Eternal Flame for many years. In the pre-revolutionary era, many outstanding people built summer residences and mansions on the territory of the resort and some ancient dachas have survived to this day. Among them, the I.G. Zimin's dacha is a fine example of the Art Nouveau style, as well as the "museum-house of Razumovsky", a well-known surgeon.
