Liepaja is not rich in noisy entertainment centers. On the contrary, it'd be interesting to visit the city for lovers of quiet walks and natural attractions. Numerous artificial mounds and breakwaters remind of the city's military past, the study of which can be very exciting. While walking along the promenade, you can see the famous Northern Breakwater - the biggest in town, stretching for over 2,000 meters. It took almost two years to build it. Over time, it has completely lost its original significance and became one of the favorite walking places of residents and tourists alike. This area offers a wonderful panoramic view of the port. One of the most beautiful places in Liepaja is the charming seaside Jurmalas parks, the largest park in Latvia. It'd be interesting to stroll through it at any time of the year. The park is located near the coast and is distinguished by chic landscape design. Slender rows of trees, rare ornamental plants, cozy recreation areas with benches and lush flower beds that adorn the park in the warm season - the park is certainly among the locals' favorite spots.
