The sights of Kazan amaze with its magnificence and diversity, among which is an old building of the Kazan railway station, located in the heart of the city. Equally beautiful are the ancient temples of the Zilantov Monastery, and the panorama of the Kazanka River which can be admired for hours. The snow-white walls of the Kazan Kremlin, behind which the domes of churches and minarets of mosques are hardly visible, are the main historical symbol of the city and the most important landmark of the region. Thousand-year-old Kazan can truly impress the imagination with its architectural and historical monuments, of which there are a great many. In the historical center, various styles and structures peacefully coexist, both of the Tatar pattern and of the original Russian. The modern part of the city is well-equipped. It is famous for its numerous entertainment centers, parks and sports complexes. Along with Kremlin, important features of the historical appearance of Kazan are numerous religious monuments. Here is located the Qolsarif mosque - the largest mosque in Europe. There are excellent observation platforms on the territory of the Kremlin, from which a very picturesque view of the banks of the Volga opens, especially in the place where Kazanka flows into it.
