Those coming on holiday with children should definitely stay in Erfurt for a couple of days. Here you can find an incredible amount of entertainment centers, as well as the biggest and most beautiful zoo in the region, Thüringer Zoopark Erfurt. Opening of the zoo was held in 1959; currently, its territory is home to about 1200 animals, many of which are considered endangered in Germany.
