The central part of the city is the location of one of its oldest buildings - Church of St Eufemia. It was founded in the early 18th century and this is a wonderful example of the Venetian style. The height of one of its towers estimates 57 meters and the tower is decorated with a beautiful statue of the saint Eufemia, which has always been considered the patroness of the city.
The main square of Rovinj was named in honor of Marshal Tito. You will find this square near the port area. Several notable buildings are located around the square. An interesting cultural institution is the Batana House Museum. It is a small establishment on the water dedicated to an ancient fishing boat - the battalion. For several hundred years, it has remained an indispensable fishing tool for local fishermen. Museum visitors will have an opportunity to learn numerous facts about these boats that haven't changed externally over the past centuries. Fishermen continue to use small wooden boats to this day. The most beautiful pedestrian street of Rovinj is Karera. It is located on the territory of the Old Town. This little picturesque street paved with cobblestones, is framed by beautiful historical buildings on both sides.
