The Roman Catholic church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is an icon and the most popular sport of tourist interest in the city of Puerto Vallarta. Though the church is quite a new building it has already survived a reconstruction. The building of the church was finished in 1941 after a 12 year long construction, however in 1985 a massive earthquake destroyed a major part of the building.
