Art Deco Imperial stands out of hundreds of hotels in Prague. The hotel was built in 1914. The project was developed by prominent Czech architect Jaroslav Benedikt. Jan Kolář was the first owner of the hotel – at the beginning of the 20th century, he owned several luxurious hotels in Prague. During its long history, the legendary hotel greeted many famous guests, but they are not the only “advantage” of the iconic place. Traditional Prague doughnuts, kobliha, served in the old café of the hotel, have already become an unchangeable symbol of the hotel. It is believed that a tradition to throw yesterday’s kobliha into acquaintances appeared in Art Deco Imperial. Locals eat only freshly made doughnuts.
