Vacation on Menorca beaches - hidden bays, top resorts and recreation areas

Menorca is one of the most interesting of Balearic Islands in terms of beach leisure. Most of the island beaches are covered with sand; there are more than 50 of them. S’Arenal des Castell is located in the north of the island. This 650-meters long beach has excellent equipment. There are lots of hotels, houses, shops and restaurants located nearby. The beach is very popular among tourists and local citizens, but thanks to its size it’s never crowded.

Arenal de s’Olla has a number of awards. It is an excellent place for holidays with children. The beach central area is about 300 meters long; it’s absolutely free and open to public access. There's a small apartment hotel at one end of the beach and a nice restaurant at the other. Nature lovers have to pay attention to Binimellà beach. It is one of the calmest beaches on the island surrounded with beautiful landscapes. From Binimella tourists can also watch El Toro Pike, the highest point of Menorca.

Miniature Cala Blanca beach is known for its good ecology. It occupies a calm scenic bay surrounded with small cliffs. There is a number of important historical landmarks located nearby. Cala en Forcat beach is the unique nature landmark itself. It occupies a small rocky bay with water changing its color from sky blue to rich emerald-green over the day hours. It's an excellent place for taking spectacular photos; there is a number of tourists centers nearby, so the beach is never empty.

There are also attractive rocky beaches on the island and Ses Fontanelles is one of them. It features very flat coast making the beach comfortable even for small kids and those who can't swim. High cliffs and thick forests surround the beach and protect it from strong winds. Cala Carbó is one of the biggest rocky beaches; it is over 200 meters long. That’s an absolutely undeveloped part of coast; however, it’s an excellent place to enjoy natural beauty. Cala Carbo is easily accessible and nicely situated too.

Cala Morella Nou pebble-stone beach surrounded with high green hills is amazingly picturesque. It’s highly recommended to snorkeling fans, as it has amazing sea bed. Cala Morella Nou is regarded as a wild beach, but that doesn't affect its attractiveness. Binibeca Vell is a sure leader among rocky beaches. It’s only 40 meters long, but can boast excellent equipment. It’s popular among divers because of lots underwater landmarks located nearby. Rocky Atalis Beach is probably the smallest on the island. It is only 10 meters long. The coast is surrounded with high steep cliffs.
