More to see in Lipari Island
Lipari is a volcanic island. Its underwater world is rich with the species of Mediterranean flora and fauna. Barracudas, starfish, lobsters, moray eels, parrot fish and rays are only part of them. The best time for diving is in the middle of June and the end of October. If you visit the island in a different season, don’t forget to wear a dry suit to feel more comfortable. The visibility reaches 20 meters and the activity of undercurrents is low here. There are two diving centres on the island, where you can book a diving tour or undergo training and get an international diving certificate. You don’t have to take your equipment to Lipari, there is an opportunity to rent all the necessary things here. One of the diving sets includes a visit to Punta Castagna, which is known among local divers as a perfect place for taking photos. La Secca Del Villagio and La Forbice are ideal for beginners. Skilled divers can go to Pietra Menalda and dive there. If you want, you may visit nearby Alicudi, Stomboni and Panareo. If you are not eager to dive, try snorkelling. It is the simplest way to know more about the underwater world because you don’t have to get a diving certificate. Just buy or rent a mask, a snorkel and flippers and visit one of the local secluded beaches. For example, Velle Muria is a quiet place with clean water, you can explore the marine life here. Do you want to swim and sunbath in the pleasure? Then you should go to a picturesque beach at Monte … Read further
