Another interesting architectural monument is the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. This mansion was built in 1928. Its first owners were the Hogg Brothers. They were famous collectors and kept its precious collections of historical artifacts in the mansion. In the first half of the 20th century, about 4 700 historical artifacts and pieces of art were presented in the mansion. In 1957, the brothers gave their collection to the local Art Museum.
