Folegandros is a small island, most of the tourists come here to enjoy walking. You won't find here a lot of foreigners. It is not obvious because the island has recently become known to American and European tourists. Footpaths link all local settlements with historical and natural attractions on Folegandros. Public transport is not well-developed here and not all of the inhabitants have their own cars. That is why locals prefer to walk long distances on foot.
