Disneyland is, actually, one big landmark for children. However, the majority of cultural landmarks are located in the neighborhoods of the theme park. While children have fun in Disneyland (together with adults, of course), adults can explore this area a little further and get acquainted with local history and culture. Disneyland Paris is open in the town of Marne-la-Vallée that is located approximately 30 kilometers away from Paris. Consider visiting Bois de Chigny. This park is a perfect place for a stroll. The park was made at the end of the XVIII century and still has its original look and design. There are many century-old trees and gorgeous alleys. Kees van Dongen, a famous painter, was the owner of the park at the beginning of XX century. Le Bicheret is one more gorgeous park nearby that is also an excellent place for a leisure stroll. It is an incredibly serene and calming place, so a walk there will restore peace of mind and good mood. There is one more amazing park at some distance from Bois de Chigny and closer to Marne-la-Vallée. It is named Parc culturel de Rentilly. This park is famous for several landmarks that are located in its territory.
Lac Buena Vista is a wonderful natural landmark located in the theme park. This is a beautiful lake that is perfect for relaxing, restoring peace of mind, and thinking about something eternal – the peaceful and serene atmosphere is perfect for such thoughts. If Lake Buena Vista is not enough, there are more beautiful lakes to explore. For example, Lac des Gassets that is located to the south of Disneyland. Not far from the lake, vacationers will find Parc des Communes, a fantastic place for a picnic or a stroll. To the north of Disneyland, there is Poneyclub Chalifert equestrian center where visitors can learn the basics of horse riding. Finally, it would be a mistake not to mention Jardin de sculptures de la Dhuys that never ceases to attract fans of interesting monuments. Copyright www.orangesmile.com
Drive a bit further from Disneyland to find a marvelous castle named Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne. It was built in 1707 and was architected by Pierre Bullet who picked classicism as the main style of the building. Not only the exterior design of the castle attracts numerous visitors but also English and French gardens and the inner design of the castle that perfectly reflects trends and standards of that time. Nowadays, the castle often greets presidents of different countries who stay there during their visits to the French capital. Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne is surrounded by Parc de Noisiel that is famous for its peaceful and calm atmosphere.
