There are many places in the city where you can have a great time with your children, friends and loved one. It is worth visiting the café-club "Passage", located in the heart of the city. Here there are very original dishes, and in the evening there is always an interesting entertainment program. The music program of the club is very diverse, and so people of different ages can relax here comfortably. The largest club in the city, which is able to take about five thousand people at a time, is "Energia". Here there are two dance floors, several billiard tables, a restaurant and separate rooms for corporate closed parties. The city has excellent conditions for outdoor recreation; nature lovers are invariably popular with local parks. At any time of the year, guests of Vitebsk will enjoy a stroll through the Victory Park, ideal for leisurely walks and the Park named after Soviet army. It was founded on the banks of the Vitebsk River. Usually guests of the park come here to feed the wild ducks who have chosen these picturesque places. In the warm season, the park is always equipped with interesting attractions and summer cafes. In the street of Yanki Kupala is located Vitebsk Zoo - a great place for a family holiday. The village of Khatyn is also worth attention of travellers. The tragic story of the village is well known around the world. In 1943 the village was burnt to ashes by the Fascists. All 149 people, who lived in Khatyn, were killed. In the memory of the dead, the great memorial complex named “the Unconquered Human” was built in the territory of the village. Other popular excursion routes in Belarus include such cities as Mogilev, Brest, Grodno, Bobruisk, and Vitebsk.
