Not far from Netanya are the ruins of Qaqun castle, the very first mention of which dates back to the 12th century. Built on a hilltop, it served as a fortification intended for the defense of the city. Today the castle is of great historical interest: according to some information, the first buildings existed on its site in prehistoric times. Some of the stones used in the construction of the fortress are decorated with unique antique ornaments.
The city also has a very unusual facility - the Tractor's History Museum that was opened in an old renovated hangar. The museum exhibition includes about a hundred vehicles.
