One of the main secrets of the old castle is the wonderful doll house 'Queen Titania', which is considered a real antiquarian masterpiece. Once, the castle belonged to the well-known English painter and officer Newil Wilkinson, whose young daughter had asked the father to build the special castle for the elf queen Titania. The loving father realized the daughter's request and built the incredibly beautiful dollhouse, whose furnishings were just as splendid as the interiors of the luxurious palace.

The old castle is very popular with the tourists with the children. According to one of the legends, if their visitors behaved well during the last eight days, they can meet Queen Titania in the castle. Besides the magical unique doll house, visitors can see the expositions of four most interesting museums in Egeskov Castle, as well as the dark medieval labyrinths. Next - Castelul Peles
