Medina of Marrakesh, Morocco The central square of Medina is Djemaa el Fna, life on which does not freeze literally for a minute. This is the largest place in Africa. Today it is hard to imagine that in this picturesque and busy square criminals were executed a few centuries ago. Here you can always meet sellers of sweets and water, as well as acrobats and dancers who present their talents. The most interesting act begins on the square at dawn, when it turns into a huge open-air restaurant. There are mangal and vats everywhere, in which traditional national dishes (meat and rice) are cooked.

In the immediate vicinity of the square are many unique historical and religious objects. The most popular sites are the Bahia Palace and the Mosque of Kutubia. An ordinary walk through the narrow alleyways of Medina gives a lot of unforgettable impressions. Here, one can discover interesting souvenir shops and restaurants, where guests are offered the most popular national dishes. Next - Stone Town of Zanzibar
