The Thebes Necropolis is one of the most important sights of Egypt. Here, one can see the unique burials of pharaohs, preserved memorial stamps and other historical buildings connected with the culture of the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes. Among the memorials one must mention, in particular, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, located in the district of Deir el-Bahari. The memory temple of Ramses III. Is also very interesting and worth seeing.
Most of the monuments that can be seen on the territory of the Necropolis were erected in the period from the 22nd to the 12th century BC. Surprisingly, many of them have retained their original shape almost invariably after several thousand years. The most famous and significant sights of the historical complex are the Karnak and Luxor Temples, which are connected with each other by a beautiful avenue of Sphinxes. They are the most magnificent temple complexes and are located on the eastern coast of the Nile. Several thousand years ago, houses of the nobility and chic palaces were situated next to these temples. The sumptuous complex was surrounded by exotic gardens with rare plants.
