Derinkuyu, Turkey

It is an ideal material for building underground cities.

The population of the city was approximately 20 000 people. Thereby they kept cattle and a lot of products in the tunnels. The deepest tunnels have located 60 meters under the ground. During the researching, there were found a lot of outstanding artefacts. The ancient tools that were used for olive oil expression and wine concoction, equipped granaries and wine cellars, old chapels and schools.
