City of the Gods, Egypt
From series “Unbelievable Underground Mini-Cities”
The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the utmost Wonder of the World. Right under it was found one of the most mysterious and outstanding underground cities of the world. The first researching works were held there in 1978. The underground tunnel that they found was named "Metropolis" or "City of the Gods". We have a lot of facts that say that under the pyramid was found a whole complex of tunnels, nevertheless, we can’t check it.
Even if we wanted to go under the pyramid, no one will open the door for us because it is impossible to destroy the wholeness of the pyramid. Many researchers suppose that City of the Gods is a great made up story for tourists. One of the main researchers Selim Hassan was the first man who delivered a report about excavations in 1944. This report said that under the Giza Plato was found the city of a wonderful beauty with nice temples, castles, craft producers and peasant cabins.
