Pyramid of Djoser, Egypt The most interesting construction element is not the huge steps, but the deep vertical pit in the interior of the pyramid, which reminds us of the dolmens of the Neolithic period. Within the pit is the large sarcophagus, which was placed on the ruins of the construction of the unknown origin. The curious ruins, adorned with the original carving, attract the numerous explorers. Until now, the scientists have not found the origin and purpose of the ruins.

It is possible that the Pyramid of Djoser served as a protection for a number of the buildings of the earlier period. In research, a complex of underground passages underneath the pyramid was discovered. Although many secret rooms of the pyramid were still extinct a thousand years ago, modern archaeologists also find the valuable artefacts in the pyramid. In this pyramid was discovered the ancient statue Pharaohs Djoser, which is presented today in the archaeological museum of Kairos. Next - Pyramids of Copan
