Allen Telescope Array, USA

The unique Allen Telescope Array station is located in the United States. It was formed by specialists from the SETI Institute, as well as the University of California, Berkeley. This station is a large-scale and complex system. It consists of 42 satellite dishes. The diameter of each such dish antenna is 6 meters. The project organizers plan to increase the number of antennas in the system to 350 in the future.
This unique station is located on the territory of the large-scale Hat Creek Observatory. About 500 kilometers separates this large-scale scientific complex from the city of San Francisco. Continuous reformation and improvement of the complex have been taking place over the past years, even though it was fully operational and allowed for various measurements by 2011. Initially, the station was created to conduct a wide range of radio astronomy observations not only of our galaxies but also of many others.
