Mode Gakuen Spiral, Japan
From series “Twisted Spiral Buildings and Towers That Are Real”Height: 170 meters.
In the Japanese city of Nagoya is a 36-storey twisted skyscraper Mode Gakuen Spiral, whose height reaches 170 meters. The tower was built on the busy central street of the city, it is in close proximity to Nagoya Railway Station. Unlike other world-famous skyscrapers of the planet, the Mode Gakuen Spiral tower is the location of not at all office premises, but at once three large training centers.
Within its walls is the Gakuen Fashion School, the Information Technology Center and the Institute of Medicine ISEN. The unusual construction of the building has been developed with the direct participation of students and has a profound meaning. Aspiring to knowledge and reaching heights in science, they remain an integral part of the real world. The building looks very elegant and a bit like a developing train of dress. It is important to note, that the beautiful design is distinguished by high seismic safety. At the rear, a special vibration control system has been installed, thanks to which the structure can withstand strong earthquakes.
