Its main characteristic is the symbolic sculpture composition. In the middle of the composition are the statues of three ancient gods - Apollos, Theseus and Diana. The composition symbolizes the relationship between Australia and France, which were formed during the First World War.
The fountain is located in the beautiful Hide Park, which is also one of Australia's distinctive sights. The Fountain was named to honor the outstanding politician and journalist John Archibald, whom the inhabitants of Australia now regard as the national hero. The outstanding journalist was interested in French culture and, after one of the trips to France, chose the French pseudonym.
