An amazing natural pool is located on the island of Thassos in Greece. It was named Giola Lagoon. You can see this unusual lagoon in the immediate vicinity of the village of Astris. The path to this natural attraction is not easy. It passes through a rather difficult cross-country area. The coast in this area of the island is a series of rocky formations. Once a beautiful lagoon was also an unremarkable rock.
Strong waves destroyed the dome of this rock over time. A natural pool with crystal-clear emerald-colored water formed in its place. You can see huge rocks at the bottom of the lagoon even today. They were left from the destruction. This natural lagoon attracts and frightens at the same time. Not everyone dares to jump into it from a rocky cliff. The rocks at the bottom seem incredibly close and threatening. The sea raging nearby also adds to the thrill.
