St. John's Church is located in Munich. It is also known to many tourists by the unofficial name Asam. Its construction lasted 13 years. It was fully completed in 1746. The beautiful church is one of the most beautiful Rococo monuments in the city today. Initially, this church was built as a private one. It was built by talented local architects – the Azam brothers. They owned several houses near the church. They built a religious monument so that one of the brothers could admire its altar from the window of his house.

Asam Church, Germany A series of protests followed in the circles of residents after the construction of the church. Citizens demanded to make the new church public. The founders of the church had to make concessions to locals. Their creation became public domain a few years after its foundation. The old church is distinguished not only by its spectacular appearance but also by its luxurious interior decoration. Many of its elements have been preserved in their original form.

Visitors to the church can admire the elaborate wall paintings, stucco work, and beautiful sculptures today. The main decoration of the church is a two-level altar. The most unusual element of the church's design is the carved cornice It is formed in such a way that it seems to float freely in the air. The Asam Church is quite small despite all of its unique features. Its main hall is 22 meters long and only 8 meters wide.
