From series “Fantastic and Colorful Caves Inside the Earth”

In Thailand, fans of walks in unusual places will be able to visit Phraya Nachon Cave. Not without reason it is considered one of the most beautiful and spectacular caves in the country. This natural attraction is located in the southern part of Thailand, in the territory of Khao Sam Roy Yot National Park. Right in the cave is a religious landmark, which makes it special among others. It is the Kukha Karuhas pavilion. It was built here in 1890 by the order of King Chulalongkorn, and the cave itself received its name in honour of one of the rulers who first opened it during a storm.

Phraya Nakhon Cave, Thailand The cave is located in the depths of the national park, so tourists who decide to visit it need to go a long way. A pleasant addition to the route will be tracks and stairs, as well as viewing platforms, from which it is convenient to admire the surrounding landscapes. In the walls of the cave a lot of interesting things await curious tourists. The upper part of the cave was partially destroyed during earthquakes, so it receives daylight through the holes formed inside.

One of the main decorations of Phraya Nachon Cave are unique stalactites and stalagmites, the formation of which has required hundreds of years. On one of the walls you can see old inscriptions that have been left here by kings who once visited the cave and the pavilion. Experienced travellers recommend visiting the cave early in the morning. At dawn, rays of the rising sun are penetrating into it and contribute to the formation of incredible landscapes. Next - Ice Caves Mutnovsky
