The unusual chess park has appeared several years ago in Osaka. Its design is entirely devoted to board games. This park, located on the bank of the channel, has special benches, paths for skateboarding, and flowerbeds with check pattern. It’s difficult to imagine that the area in which the park is located, a few years ago was abandoned and was literally drowning in waste and debris.
A few years ago, the city authorities decided to clean up the area. They started construction of a new luxury residence there. The park was created as a part of the project. The authors of the project were teammates from TOFU Architects company. They used the most affordable and simple materials, including cardboard, paper, vinyl, wood, and stainless steel.
