Valley of Thousand and One Tales, Turkey The latter is one of the most interesting and visited. The history of the unique landscape is very amazing; it goes back more than 70 million years ago. In those days, the modern district of Cappadocia was completely flooded by lava erupting volcanoes. Later, volcanic rocks cooled and hardened. Still, they were very soft, so easily washed out and eroded.

For hundreds of years, wind, sun, and water formed the landscape of incredible beauty. Tourists from all over the world come to Cappadocia. In addition to unique sculptures, created by nature after millions of years, you can see some gorgeous ancient monasteries and churches cut in the rocks.
