Jodhpur, India
From series “Monochromatic Cities - Stunning Views”
Jodhpur is situated in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Its buildings have been blue for a long period of time. This tradition is a concurrent part of the religious culture. Originally, only Brahman’s houses could be painted in blue. Notwithstanding that for last 10 years, the sectorial system essentially went away, the tradition was saved. Even the predecessors of Brahman’s oracles have to paint walls in blue colour.
Apart from the one-coloured buildings, tourists can see a lot of interesting in the city. There has placed an old dwell that was the major drinking water source for locals. You can see it right in the centre of the city. One of the most vibrant place in Jodhpur is the Sardar Market. There you always can buy the most popular products, spices, colourful local production fabrics and a number of outstanding souvenirs.
