Catalonia in miniature can be admired in Barcelona. In a miniature park models of the most prominent and most visited sights of the region have been presented. The museum was opened in 1983 and covers an area of 60 000 square meters. About half of this area is occupied directly by mock-ups of sights. The park has been supplemented with incredibly beautiful landscape compositions. In total, 145 mini-copies can be seen in the park, which have been executed on a scale from 1:25 to 1:33.
The most spectacular is the model of the Church of the Holy Family, as well as the model of the Park Guell with its fabulously beautiful "gingerbread" houses. Among the miniature bushes and trees you can see a colorful building of the Salvador Dali Museum-Theater. Football fans will definitely like the model of the "Camp Nou" stadium. The theme park is notable not only for the variety of objects, but also for its geographical accuracy. An artificial sea makes it as realistic as possible, about two million liters of water are required to create its model.
