Riva Lofts Hotel, Italy
From series “Best industrial-style loft hotels”
The hotel Riva Lofts Florence is located in Florence. It is the owner of many honorary awards. It has been repeatedly called the best in the city for its unique atmosphere of comfort and unique interior. The hotel was set up in an old textile factory. It was built in 1834. Looms were located in the large rooms of this factory in the past. The premises were taken over by local artisans after the factory closed. They set up their workshops here. The rental of premises in a historic building was quite inexpensive.
However, the building remained in the status of a craft center for a short time. It was empty for a long time before the hotel was opened in it. Famous Italian architect Claudio Nardi worked on the design of the hotel. His daughter Alicia was his main assistant in this project. It was possible to preserve the original design elements as much as possible during the reconstruction of the building. Some rooms have a fireplace. Some apartments have a terrace.
