Snowdonia reserve is located in the northern part of Wales and covers a territory of 2170 square kilometres. It was established in 1951 and was named for the mount Snowdon – the highest peak of Wales. Snowdonia reserve is a living working area, more than 26000 people live permanently on the territory of the National park. Over 6 million travellers come to the picturesque Snowdonia annually.
The surroundings of Mount Snowdon is the most lively area in the park, climbing up to the top of the mountain is the favourite pastime among the tourists. As an alternative, the travellers are invited to climb the mount by cable car. The total length of footpaths available to active tourists, is over 2300 kilometres.
