The height of the only minaret of the mosque is 210 meters. The project of the unique mosque was designed by the architect Michel Pinseau.

Hassan II Mosque, Morocco His grandiose project was realized at the shortest deadlines. In only thirteen years the huge mosque was completely built and received the first faithful in 1993. The main particularity of the mosque is its location. It was not built on the natural coast, but on the artificial platform and is literally above the water. The floor of the mosque is made of the high-strength glass, so you can see through it the waves of the ocean and its underwater inhabitants.

The large halls of the mosque, estimated at 25,000 people, are decorated with fine marble and granite furnishings. In the central hall you can see the giant chandeliers created by the best Venetian masters. The tall pink granite columns, the floor with gold-colored marble, the magnificent onyx furnishings - the design of the mosque is really luxurious and yet natural. The entrance to the mosque criterion is not only for the Muslims, but also for those interested in what makes the Hassan II Mosque one of Morocco's most popular sights.
