Mir Castle, Belarus

You can see a beautiful old castle in Belarus in the village of Mir. It is also a striking example of Gothic architecture. This castle was built in the 16th century. According to another legend, Mir and Nesvizh castles were originally connected by a tunnel. Its length was more than 30 km. This tunnel was blown up in 1812. Russian troops managed to hide the treasures in it before that. Many researchers have been trying to find them for more than 200 years. But they never managed to find out the location of the secret tunnel. You can see the beautiful pond next to the castle today. Prince Nikolai Svyatopolk-Mirsky ordered to equip it here at the end of the 19th century. A blooming apple orchard had to be cut down to make a pond.
