La Grave Resort, France
From series “Top 13 Furious Ski Resorts and Pistes”
The spa town of La Grave is one of the most beautiful and quiet spa resorts in France, where you can ski on your own. For many years it has been the attraction center of the numerous extreme sports fans. The health resort offers a wide selection of ski slopes, which have no mark at all. Officially, the risk of avalanches in the health resort is not controlled, although the probability of avalanches in winter is always very high.
Usually the followers of the extreme descent climb up to the glacier La Meije and choose one of the downhill routes. Without exception, all the slopes are characterized by the numerous sharp rocks, stones and cracks. La Grave will please the experienced athletes not only thanks to the variety of difficult slopes, but also because of the absence of ski beginners. The inexperienced athletes are extremely rare guests of the health resort. La Grave is still rarely visited by tourists with the children. Here you can sharpen your own championship on the first-class ski slopes, watch the other experienced skiers or take some lessons from the highly qualified trainers.
