The house with the symbolic name 'Waldspiral' is one of the most original architectural sights in Darmstadt. Its construction began in 1998 and lasted two years. The natural theme served as a basis for the project of the unusual building. No symmetrical forms, which are so untypical for nature, the spacious terraces with the numerous plants and the huge domes, which remind one of the onions - there is no random element in the building structure.

On the colorful facade of the building you can hardly find two identical windows. The building is embedded in green. In total there are 1048 windows on the facade of the residential complex, each of which is unique. The Strange Garden House is home to 105 comfortable unique apartments. The residential complex is spiral-shaped. In the spiral center is the beautiful inner courtyard with the magnificent landscaped garden. The cozy restaurant and the cocktail bar are hidden in the lush scrubs. In addition, the courtyard has several playgrounds for the children and the beautiful recreation areas with small ponds. In the residential complex there is also a small pharmacy.

The building roof is a huge green terrace with plants and flowers, the comfortable recreation zones for sunbathing. The residents of the multi-apartment complex independently cultivate 'the green component' of their dwelling. In accordance with the contract, the tenants in whose dwelling or on the balcony the trees and flowers grow are obliged to care for them.
