One of the most magnificent mosques of the Asian and Pacific Rim in the capital of Brunei. Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque is the king’s mosque that was built in 1958. Today it is the main Islamic symbol of the country. The height of the marble minarets is 44 meters. In order to make its cupolas was used the real gold. Sultan Ali Sayfuddin Mosque, Brunei The author of this religious building wanted to surround the mosque with a number of fruit trees, wonderful flowers and exotic plants that would symbolize the paradise. The inner decoration adores with its luxury. The marble for walls and floor was brought from Italy, delicate chandeliers and stained glasses were made by the best British masters. One of the main elements of the decoration is a marvellous mosaic. It consists from 3,5 million pieces and belongs to hands of Venetian masters. The mosque height is 52 meters, from its top you can see many nearby areas. Tourists like to walk near the mosque. One of the main peculiarities of the mosque is the minaret, made in the Italian Renaissance. This style is quite rare used for mosque decoration.
